Okay, I’ll start by saying the vineyards around Cafayate (pronounced in Argentina as “Caf-a-zjah-tay”) do produce the finest torrontes in Argentina, ergo, the world. And with most bottles at the same price point as entry level gruner veltliners and vinho verdes, torrontes is a nice change for a run-of-the-mill, weeknight bottle.
