Earlier this year, Laphroaig announced it would be discontinuing its bottling of 15 year single malt and replacing it with 18 year. I have to admit, 10 year Laphroaig is the reason I became intrigued with single malt whiskey and over the years the 15 year has become my go-to bottle after a good meal, on a cold night, celebrating child birth, or listening to appropriately chill music.
