I’m about halfway through Alice Feiring’s book entitled “The Battle for Wine and Love or How I Saved the World from Parkerization” and I already feel the need to write about it.
Ms. Feiring is one of the most outspoken proponents of natural wine. Unlike supporters of biodynamic and organic wine, who focus on healthy and natural vine cultivation, her position extends beyond the vineyard to shun modern techniques such as micro-oxygenation, use of non-native yeasts to accelerate the fermentation process and the addition of stablizing/preservative chemicals like sulfur.
